Canada has grants of up to BRL 135,000 for vocational training

The province of Quebec, Canada is currently accepting applications from international students who wish to undertake professional training programs in the country. The courses offered are in all areas, human, exact and biological. Candidates of any nationality can apply, with the exception of Canadian and French citizens.

Scholarships can range from C$14,000, or approximately R$73,000, to C$26,000, or approximately R$135,500, and include health insurance. In total, the sums invested by Quebec in the program are 700,000 Canadian dollars, an amount sufficient to offer about thirty scholarships per year. The financial aid can be used to cover the living expenses of the student during his studies.

How to apply for scholarships

To apply, candidates must be over the age of 18, live outside of Canada before the start of the vocational training program and not receive other types of scholarships. In addition, it is necessary to prove a financial contribution of 3,000 Canadian dollars (approximately R$12,000).

The professional training programs offered by the province of Quebec are:

  • Buildings and public works ;
  • Chemistry and Biology;

  • Electrotechnology;
  • environment and forest management;
  • Food and tourism services;

  • Maintenance mechanics;
  • mechanical manufacturing ;
  • metallurgical technology;
  • mining and site operations;
  • Maintenance of motorized equipment;
  • Carpentry and furniture making.

  • 2 reference letters completed by 2 different people
  • 1 copy of the main passport page
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of all transcripts for each of the programs mentioned in the academic documents section
  • Copy of all diplomas obtained
  • Copy of all awards, honors or honors received
  • Proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, among others).
