“In the late 1950s, my father only had Ford cars and then he became a Lincoln fan. The brand has been part of my life since I was born,” says the collector.

Paletta does not consider the Cathedral of Automobiles as a museum, but as a garage where people can enter and discover its treasures. On the second floor, the space also houses a 1950s-style restaurant, a TV room, miniatures and other brand collectibles. “It’s a place to come, relax and have fun. I also do a lot of charity work with cars, rides and I love showing them to people, especially children. It’s amazing to see their enthusiasm,” he says.

Among the rarities is a 2006 Canadian Ford GT that had just 24.5 miles on the odometer when Paletta purchased it. The car has never been registered and is a true collector’s item, even retaining the original protective plastic on the seats. Another attraction is a replica of the Ford GT40 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1968 and 1969.

Shelby Cobra

The collector is also proud of another special model. An original Shelby Cobra with an engine and transmission built by Bill Parson. The model also features aluminum wings and is one of only 12 made in the United States. Paletta is the only person to ever make it happen. “I found it in a warehouse in San Jose, California,” he says.
