The event organized by the Sesc takes place on the 31st and also offers a solidarity challenge

Involving schools, gymnasiums, entities, companies and social projects, Sesc Bento Gonçalves is preparing for Challenge Day (DDD) 2023. May 31 with actions at Unity (Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 395) , from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The program includes a treadmill challenge, ergometer bikes and a yoga class with Maturidade Ativa’s exclusive senior group.

In addition to sports actions, the DDD will have a solidarity initiative, with the collection of UHT milk units, which will be donated to institutions that serve vulnerable people registered with Mesa Brasil Sesc. Donations are underway and deliveries can be made to Sesc or Senac (Rua Silva Paes, 415).

In this edition of the project, organized by Sesc/RS in more than 50 towns in Rio Grande do Sul, the idea is also to encourage the sharing of actions. For this, the “DDD+1” campaign was created, which asks participants to bring a friend to practice at least 15 minutes of exercises. Whether it’s running, walking, dancing, playing football, volleyball or any other sport, the important thing is not to stand still.

About DDD: Challenge Day was created in the 1980s in Canada to stimulate people’s interest in sport and physical activity through healthy competition between municipalities. Coordinated in Brazil by Sesc since 1995, Challenge Day is an initiative of TAFISA (The Association For International Sport for All) – with the support of ISCA (International Sport and Culture Association) and UNESCO. It is a community movement, always held on the last Wednesday of May, which involves public authorities, private institutions and citizens working in partnership to mobilize the highest percentage of participants compared to its total population.

For 77 years, the Fecomércio-RS/Secc/Senac system has been close to the community and businesses of Rio Grande do Sul in favor of development, happiness and change. Facilitating access to culture, sport, health, leisure, assistance and education is the priority of the services offered by Sesc and Senac in the State. In addition, with the support of affiliated business unions, Fecomércio-RS offers actions that encourage entrepreneurship and business growth in the tertiary sector.
