Criciúma presents projects focused on technology and innovation at an international event – Tecnologia

The municipal department of education and the directorate of technology and information (IT) participated last Friday (3), in an event focusing on education, technology and English, at the social hall of the Club Sociedade Recreativa Mampituba. At the invitation of the Canadian agency Go There Skills, which specializes in exchanges with various educational solutions, the secretariat and the council presented two projects focused on innovation, technology and language teaching, of which they are partners. . According to Education Secretary Miri Dagostin, projects aimed at technology in schools have raised students’ interest and significantly reduced school dropouts. “It should be noted that the platform is structured as a game, all gamified. Everyone learns more and in a productive way. And those who complete the course participate in a draw to compete for prizes”, underlined the secretary .

Currently, two digital platforms are used by the municipal education department. Teens 1 (Grades 5-9) and Keyword Online (Grades 8-9). In the second semester, the Teens 2 platform will be made available to students. The coordinator of the English language project Liziane da Rosa Uggioni underlined the importance of this invitation. “Participating in an event like this, at an international level, is very important, since it is possible to disseminate internationally the projects developed to our students of the Municipal Education Network of Criciúma and to ratify how much we have dedicated, committed to providing a quality of teaching and learning to our students, aiming at their integral formation”, he underlined.

About the project

The IT Council’s “Platform for teaching English in an online environment” project in partnership with the Municipal Department of Education was launched in 2020 to serve students from 5th to 9th (regular modality and EJA ) of the Criciúma Municipal Education Network. Focused on the language practices of learning a lingua franca (oral/listening/linguistic and written analysis), the project complements the courses of the study program of the English language component. It is offered online and accessible from any electronic device with an Internet connection.

In robotics, the project involves students from grades 5 to 9. The weekly classes that take place in 33 schools of the municipal education network and also in partner educational institutions (ABADEUS/SATC/SENAI), contribute to the learning process of students, based on educational technologies made, after the class hours, in extracurricular way.
