Diagonal announces the launch of a medical complex in Fortaleza

A Diagonalin partnership with the ProMedical – consulting firm specializing in hospitals and medical centers – is preparing to launch the most comprehensive medical complex in the Northeast. The development will bring together offices and clinics from different healthcare segments and will also have the possibility of having a “day hospital” type surgical center on any floor, assuming the position of the only development in Brazil with this characteristic. .

Diagonal’s Commercial and New Business Director, João Ximenes Fiuza, anticipated some features of the new project. “One of the great attributes of this new venture is to be aligned with the current needs of physicians, centralizing all healthcare operations including appointments, surgical center and segment stores. Designed and planned by healthcare professionals and for healthcare professionals, the project values convenience, comfort and safety for the doctor and the patient,” emphasizes João.

Structure

In addition to its hospital architecture, which is a very complex specialization, the common areas of this new medical complex, signed Diagonal, are 100% compliant with Anvisa’s RDC50, something only seen in high-end hospitals. The project also envisages a multisensory outdoor garden space, with plants, water and scents, as a welcome pocket. “The goal is to relax patients before their appointments or treatments. This concept is called “healing garden”, widely used in British, Australian, Canadian and American hospitals, cancer treatment centers and some Alzheimer centers. The goal is to make waiting a less traumatic and less stressful experience,” says Renato Castello Branco, Technician Advisor at ProMedical Consultoria.

strong demand

Also according to Renato, this context responds to a behavior that was driven during the pandemic, when several movements were created by the need for continuity of health care. Many chronic patients have stopped their treatments for fear of going to hospital and getting infected. Movements such as “No to the Hospital” have emerged in the United States, encouraging the creation and use of medical centers, places that provide health care but are not part of a hospital structure.
