Last week, the artist reported that he was left without members of the sound and production team and had to put the show on hold. Now the newspaper Newspaper said the Canadian’s excuse was a lie.

On condition of anonymity, people involved in the festival’s production told the São Paulo newspaper that part of the team hired by the rapper was not only already working in Brazil, but had also spent the morning before the cancellation to set up the decor.

Audio equipment, LED signs and other structures were even assembled alongside Lollapalooza employees at the Interlagos Racetrack.

According to the São Paulo newspaper, Drake’s team, who were staying at the Hilton Hotel, learned that he would no longer come to Brazil during the assembly. They discovered it in the company of the T4F team, the company which organized the Festival until this last edition.

When questioned, the festival clarified that it is not responsible for the artist’s justification and only reproduced the message sent by Drake. The singer’s team and label have not been located by Leaf.

The artist made no comment on the cancellation of the show on his social networks until the publication of the report, at 8:40 p.m. this Friday (31). The spokesperson for Universal Music, which has already distributed some of its albums in Brazil, said that Drake’s position was as announced by the festival.
