Hercílio Luz International Airport, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, has adopted the security center solution from Genetec, a Canadian security solutions company, to manage its entire infrastructure.

The solution operates as a unified security platform, which promises to facilitate system innovation, integrating the technology and equipment from different manufacturers.

Previously, the structure had proprietary security systems and 150 cameras, which the airport said limited upgrading the space and expanding its coverage capacity.

Currently, this system has an open architecture and more sophisticated analysis tools, which allow monitoring of unaccompanied baggage, in order to generate alerts so that security measures can be taken.

In addition, the airport is now also supported by Genetec solutions to prepare safety reports for the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).
