Guitarist found dead in Canada; son is prime suspect

Guitarist Gord Lewis (picture featured), of the group Teenage Head, was found dead in his apartment in Canada last weekend. According to the portal NMEthe prime suspect in the murder is Jonathan Lewis, the musician’s son.

Sara Beck, a detective handling the case, told a news conference that her team in the City of Hamilton had been notified that a man in his 60s had been found dead. The messages had been sent by Jonathan himself.

The guitarist was found on Saturday (7/8) and presented several wounds on the body, which evoked the possibility of a murder.

Jonathan lived in the apartment with his father and was arrested for second degree murder, meaning Gord’s death was not premeditated. “We are still looking for witnesses and reviewing footage from the area,” the detective added.

On Facebook, the group Teenage Heads mourned the death of the guitarist: “We are heartbroken and still trying to deal with the loss of our friend, teammate and brother Gord Lewis. Our thoughts are with his family and all those who lost him. have known and loved. Gord was a strength and an inspiration to many. You were taken from us too soon.
