Commission visits health units to assess care in Bauru
Bauru (SP) Deputy Health Secretary Ezequiel Santos said the city is experiencing an outbreak of respiratory diseases among children. The filing suspects the cases are respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
This statement was made in an interview with VAT this Friday 17, during a visit to the Emergency Care Units (UPA) of the city, which were inspected by the inspection commissions of the Municipal Council. (See report above.).

Highly contagious, the virus is transmitted by touch and air, and enters the body through the nose and throat. In 90% of cases, it manifests as a cold, causing cough, fever, runny nose and sore throat, but it can progress to shortness of breath.
