podium in triathlon
The athletes of the Brazilian team were present on the podium of the Copa América de Triathlon, in Pucón, Chile. Giovana Lacerda finished the women’s event in second place, while Antonio Bravo finished third in the men’s.
Two silver medals in taekwondo
Brazil finished the Dutch Taekwondo Open with great participation and won two medals. Ícaro Miguel won silver in the category up to 87 kg, while Raiany Fidélis obtained the same result in women up to 73 kg.
Luisa Stefani wins at Indian Wells
Brazilian tennis player Luisa Stefani is still in great shape. This weekend, she made her debut with a victory at the WTA in Indian Wells, USA, alongside Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski. The pair beat American Asia Muhammad and Kazakh Anna Danilina 2-0.
Hugo Calderano advances in Singapore
Brazil’s leading table tennis player has qualified for the WTT Contender Round of 16 in Singapore. Hugo Calderano beat South Korean Seungmin Cho 3-2 to secure the place.
Brazilian surf show
The Peniche stage of the World Surfing Circuit has once again inspired the Brazilians. After the weekend qualifiers, six athletes from across the country advanced to the round of 16. They are: Yago Dora, Ítalo Ferreira, Samuel Pupo, Gabriel Medina, Caio Ibelli and João Chianca, Chumbinho.
Among the women, Tatiana Weston-Webb has already secured her place in the quarter-finals of the stage.
