Midfielder Jean Pyerre, formerly of Grêmio, will return to professional football. The 25-year-old athlete has signed with the Vancouver Whitecaps and will compete in Major League Soccer (MLS), the United States league. He is due to travel later this week to sign the bond with the Canadian club. The announcement comes four days after the player was announced as a reinforcement for FC Bom Jesus, from Santa Cruz do Sul, for the Vale do Rio Pardo Regional Amateur Football Championship, which begins in September of this year.

Marcieli Fernandes, president of Futebol Clube Bom Jesus, explained that the management are aware of the possibility of the midfielder being hired by another professional team. “As we are an amateur football team, we do not have the means to formalize this kind of contract.
