Lucas Braga says Santos must recover in Minas the points lost in Vila – Jornal do Oeste

Lucas Braga was one of coach Fabián Bustos’ bets to Santos against Internacional. In his first match as a starter at the Brasileirão, he put the team in front, at Vila Belmiro. But the team ended up giving in to equality and now the striker is preaching for immediate rehabilitation, this Saturday, against Atlético-MG, in Belo Horizonte.

There are five games without a win for Santos at the Brasileirão, with two defeats and three draws which caused the team to stop dreaming of leadership and drop to 10th place, with just 13 points, two of them from the area of relegation.

This drop in performance, in the opinion of Lucas Braga, should end against the current champion, in Mineirão. “We are saddened by the result, we were at home and needed this win against Inter). Now we will have to look away, but I’m happy to be back in the starting XI, my first game in Brazil and I was able to help with a goal,” said the striker.

Santos trained this Friday morning at CT Rei Pelé and after lunch he left for Belo Horizonte. Bustos tries to reduce the players’ anger over constant officiating mistakes, so that it doesn’t interfere with their performance on the pitch. Against the Gauchos, the club regretted a goal canceled by Eduardo Bauermann. In the competition, the team still has several complaints against the VAR.

“We have to keep our heads up, we know that in some of these games (at the Brasileirão) we have been wronged by the refereeing, with very dubious offers and which hinder our work. We cannot concentrate and we We have to look for victory in the next game,” warned Lucas Braga. “We haven’t done our homework, we have to do it now.”

With the absence of Marcos Leonardo and the muscle injury of Léo Baptistão, Lucas Braga should be kept among the starters, possibly with the company of Ângelo up front. It remains to be seen which scheme the team will use. Bustos had used three midfielders on the visits and could again opt for Sandry alongside Rodrigo Fernández and Zanocello.
