The largest event and business fair complex in the state is increasing its schedule with nine more trade fairs than in 2022. For 2024, further growth is expected: 48 trade fairs are under negotiation.
In addition to an intense agenda in its theaters and outdoor spaces, the second half continues to be rich in business fairs and congresses, which take place at the Pernambuco Convention Center, the largest event space in the state, located in Olinda.
“We have made improvements to our exhibition center which have contributed to the success of the events we hold, such as replacing all lights with LED units. The pavilion is even more beautiful and highlights the structure of the events. This only proves the new phase of the Palais des Congrès, since the CID Consortium has taken control of the equipment through a concession. By the end of the year we will have 11 more fairs, ending 2023 with a total of 28 events in the pavilion alone,” highlights the CEO of the Pernambuco Centro de Convenções, Cláudio Vasconcelos.
For the director of Autonor, which took place until last Saturday (16), Bruna Miranda, this year’s fair marked the definitive resumption of growth in the automotive parts sector. “We are very happy with the success of Autonor and also to be present again in this important event space that is the Pernambuco Centro de Convenções. We found the pavilion brighter, with some improvements, which allows us to see the start of the work carried out by the Consortium which took over the administration of Cecon,” he emphasizes.
FULL AGENDA UNTIL DECEMBER
To give you an idea of the excellent results achieved by the commercial department of the Palais des Congrès in terms of attracting events, there will be nine more trade shows in 2024, compared to 2019, when 19 events took place. For 2024, even better results are expected. No less than 48 salons are under negotiation.
“The Palais des Congrès is an establishment with great potential, but it must be requalified. We began interventions in different areas of the complex, many of which were extremely necessary works, but invisible to the general public. We carried out a major intervention in the hydraulic part for example and in the channels of the pavilion. These are works which require a significant investment and which are essential for us to offer better conditions to event producers. We will still deliver a lot of things by the end of this year,” anticipates the CEO.
By the end of December, the Pernambuco Convention Center fair pavilion is expected to host 11 additional fairs: Jornada BeTT Nordeste, Artesanal Nordeste, Bienal Internacional do Livro, Hospital MED, HFN – Hotel & Food Nordeste, Supermix, Agrinordeste, Mega Fashion Outlet, Petnor, VII Fécon and Expo Prime.
The space convention space also saw promising results, growing from five events in 2022 to eight conventions and similar events. This year’s agenda also includes the Brazilian Microenterprise Congress and the Sunday School Conference. For 2024, 11 events are already scheduled.
