In the round of 16, the Brazilian had a difficult confrontation against the world champion in 2021 and the bronze in 2022 and Tokyo-2020. Klimkait struggled, as Jessica was able to escape the blows. However, already in the middle of the fight she managed to hit a waza-ari.

She still tried to draw and turn around, but the Canadian defended very well and qualified for the quarter-finals.

Rafaela was surprised by a waza-ari soon with 15 seconds of combat. She tried to react, but the Turkish woman was better and didn’t let the Brazilian fight.
