BOXING

Beatriz Ferreira faced Costa Rican Pamela Valdivia in the quarterfinals of the under 60 kg category and won with authority, the confrontation being ended by the judge in the first round. Bia won the Pan-American medal and, as a bonus, an Olympic place for Paris-2024

ROWING

On a day when the events were slightly delayed due to fog, Brazil’s first medals in the sport arrived, with Lucas Verthein’s gold and Beatriz Tavares’ silver in the single scull. In double sculls, fifth place for Piedro Xavier and Tomas Garcia for men and sixth place for Chloe Garski and Thalita Soares. In the mixed eight, another fifth place for the Brazilian boat.

BADMINTON

Davi Silva and Fabricio Farias battled it out, but won doubles silver, Brazil’s third in the sport.

FIELD HOCKEY

The Brazilian team made its debut against the strong Canadian team and was defeated 2-0. The next duel will take place against Trinidad and Tobago.

HANDBALL

The women’s team had another quiet victory, this time against Uruguay, 28 to 9. Their next opponent will be against Cuba.

BASKETBALL

The women’s team debuted with a victory against Mexico, 72 to 54. The next match will be against Venezuela.

DRESSAGE EDITION

João Victor Oliva won the silver medal in the individual dressage event. Renderson Oliveira came close to the podium by finishing in fifth place
