Members of the Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Brazilian Confederation of Baseball and Softball (Cbbs) went to the Cultural and Sports Association of Londrina (Acel) this Tuesday morning (26), to learn about the structure of the club and his involvement in baseball training.
The group visits a few cities across the country and evaluates the best place to establish a structure that develops professionals and discovers new talents for this sport which is one of the most popular and practiced in the United States.
The president of the Londrina Development Institute (Codel), Alex Canziani, welcomed the delegation. He commented on the city’s strengths, such as the economy, how Londrina stands out as one of the main cities in the south of the country on several fronts, strategically located between the major capitals and also thanks to the love of Londoners for sport in general.
Major League Baseball is the most important baseball league in the world, in addition to being the oldest sports organization in the United States, since 1869. It is made up of 30 teams (29 American and 1 Canadian) divided into two teams. -leagues: American League and National League.
