Resident of Santa Adélia, a city located about 80 kilometers from Rio Preto, the psychologist Paula Toyneti Benalia immersed herself in the literary universe in 2016 with the book “O Doce Sabor da Justiça”, published by the publisher Novo Século and launched at the Book Biennale in Sao Paulo. She, who already shared her stories on the Wattpad application, went from the social network of literature to a large publishing house. Now, in 2022, the writer has 10 books in his schedule, all published in e-book and physical versions, and has several loyal readers across Brazil.
The most recent book is “The Day I Kissed You”, published by The Gift Box. The work is the third in a series called “Goddesses of London”, which included the books “The Day I Loved You” and “The Day I Loved You”. Touched You” Each book is inspired by a goddess. The first was inspired by the goddess of light, Hemera. The second was inspired by the goddess of love, Aphrodite. The third is inspired by the goddess of fire, Hestia.
In this series, the writer, who has always written contemporary novels, delves into a period love story. The stories of the three books are set in London in the 19th century and show three women with strong personalities, ahead of their time, who question the social norms of the time. The series is inspired by Greek mythology, in which real goddesses live out their great loves, drawing from their tragedies the strength to show the world that everything can be conquered wearing a beautiful dress.
“O Dia em que te Beijei” will be launched next Saturday, 2, at 3 p.m., at the 26th São Paulo International Book Biennale, one of the largest literary events in the country, at The Gift Box booth. , at 11 am, a new version of the work will take place. During both meetings, the writer will give autograph sessions. The presentation marks the return of Paula Toyneti Benalia to the event in the capital after the pandemic and maternity.
The writer is very happy to participate, once again, in the São Paulo International Book Biennial. “Wow, words fail. The São Paulo Biennial takes place every two years, so the last one was canceled due to the pandemic. During this period, I also became pregnant and took time off from writing. Coming back is magic, not only for the writer, but also for the reader. We all miss this warm universe that is the Biennale, which lacks exchange, which is very rich in these events, and which also brings back dreams to readers, because that’s what we do with books, we take dreams and hope. The comeback represents exactly that, the return of dreams and hope for better days for everyone.
There is currently no release date for the work in Rio Preto. However, the books of the “Goddesses of London” series are available on the site www.thegiftboxbr.com. The latest book, however, is on pre-order at the moment. Those who buy now will receive a card and a magnetic marker as a gift.
