The first step in the international accreditation journey was given with the visits of the accreditors to the own resources assistance units of Unimed Fortaleza, who undergo a diagnostic evaluation. The main objective is to assess the quality and safety of management and care processes, based on global best practices.
During these visits, the standards proposed by the Qmentum methodology and the ROPs – an acronym in English for Required Organizational Practices, which, translated into Portuguese, means that the required organizational practices are evaluated. All the details of the procedures carried out by the units are evaluated with the utmost care, according to international standards.
Confirming the start of work to obtain the Accredited Network label, Accreditation Canada has published news of the entry of Unimed Fortaleza, with all its service units, into the accreditation process, through the Qmentum 360° methodology. At an event in June this year, Unimed Fortaleza announced that it was the first private network in Brazil to participate in Canada’s international accreditation process. The moment took place in the presence of the Consul General of Canada, Heather Cameron, and the CEO of QGA, accreditation institution, Rubens Covello.who handed over the participation plate of the entire Unimed Fortaleza network to the accreditation process.
