Defender of Vasco de Gama, Matheus Miranda “caused” this Wednesday (19) arriving at training with “giant” shoes. The boots were mocked by teammate Paulo Victor, left-back.
“Gkay da Colina”, wrote the side during the broadcast of a video of the defender arriving at Vasco on Wednesday. The speech references comedian Gessica Kayane, a digital influencer, comedian, actress and businesswoman also known for wearing flashy clothes.
The teasing didn’t stop there. Vasco players picked up the shoes and posted a fixed message: “Brechó do Vascão. Seeing. BRL 19.90″.
The shoes worn by 23-year-old Miranda are from the American brand MSCHF and have gained a place among celebrities in 2024. On websites in Brazil, the pair of boots can be found for up to R$15,000.
On the athletic front, Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder was one of the athletes to use the shoes recently when arriving for a game.
The Cruz-Maltino team returns to the field on Sunday (23), at 4 p.m. Vasco receives Palmeiras at the Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro, for the second round of the Brazilian Championship.
