Victims of Bitcoin Sheik Scheme Seek Seizure of Jet Used by Wesley Safadão

A jet, with the prefix PP-BST, is the subject of an arrest warrant addressed to the 24th Civil Court of Curitiba by customers injured by Francisley Valdevino da Silva, the Bitcoin Sheik, investigated for fraud estimated at 4 billion reais involving investments in cryptocurrencies.

According to the information broadcast This Monday (17) by the newspaper O Globo, the lawyers for the victims informed in the petition, attached to the action pending before the court of Paraná, that the plane belongs to ITX Administradora, property of the sheik, but that it is used by WS Shows Ltda. , owned by Wesley Safadão.

The artist’s defense alleges that Wesley Safadão was also a victim of Sheik and that the singer would have received the jet as reimbursement, since the contributions made by the singer to Rental Coins, a company owned by Francis da Silva, like Sheik is also known, would have been in value even higher than the investments made by model Sasha Meneghel and her husband, singer João Figueiredo, who are also seeking judicial reimbursement, of 1.2 million reais.

According to lawyers Mayra Vieira Dias and Jorge Calazans, who signed the petition, the plane was part of Operation Poyais, carried out earlier this month by the Federal Police (PF) to execute search and seizure warrants at addresses related to the sheikh. , when these officers seized gold bars, cash, cars and other luxury items held by Francis.

The jet was allegedly bought by Sheik for a value of 37 million reais, in installments from the company Maravilhas da Terra Produtos Naturais, which, in turn, bought the same plane from Wesley Safadão. Which led to the parties agreeing that Francis would direct part of the payments to the singer and the other part to Maravilhas.

For the sale contract to be consummated, the artist acted as a “consenting party” in the negotiation between Sheik and Maravilhas. According to the publication, Wesley Safadão demanded the return of the jet when the scandal involving the Sheik broke in 2021, when payments for the 19 installments of the Cessna Aircraft 680, manufactured in 2008 and with 2,190 flight hours, were interrupted, including 11 installments should have gone to the singer, for a total of 11 million reais.

Wesley Safadão also allegedly acted as a creditor to Sheik dos Bitcoins through DYW Participações Ltda, which owns the artist, according to Federal Revenue data. DYW allegedly acted as Sheik’s agent in Ceará to attract clients through which he would be entitled to receive R$202,000 in commissions.

For O Globo, lawyer Daniel Moraes, who represents Wesley Safadão, said the plane was passed on to the artist by Sheik to amortize part of the defect, although he did not reveal the value of the investment made by the musician. He also specifies that the plane remains in the name of ITX because Anac takes time to change ownership, but that the financing is in the name of the artist with Banco do Brasil.

Pastor Silas Malafaia, who has also had affairs with the bitcoin sheikh, said he “jumped when he learned” of the charges against Francis, as reported by Cointelegraph Brasil.
