Argentinian police have opened an investigation into the disappearance of a tourist in the iguacu waterfalls🇧🇷 The incident was recorded on the Argentinian side of the falls, in the city of Puerto Iguazú, around 11 a.m. last Monday (17).

The identity of the 58-year-old man has not been revealed. According to the investigation by the police of the State of Misiones, in Argentina, the tourist, originally from Canada, was staying in a hotel near the Iguazu National Park🇧🇷 From there he would have ordered a taxi to the falls.

According to testimonies collected so far, he would have climbed the parapet of the covered way and would have fallen. Then the Canadian disappeared. According to the police, everything happened at the height of Salto Bosetti Lookout, one of the falls of the Iguazu Falls, located on the Argentinian side.

Last Tuesday (18), the firefighters of Foz do Iguaçu, in western Paraná, located the body of a man, near the Tancredo Neves bridge, on the border with Argentina. Argentinian authorities are investigating whether the body belongs to the tourist. So far, the body has not been identified.
