With an unprecedented teaching method and structure in Ilha, Florianópolis, Maple Bear has succeeded in transforming the concept of immersion education. The learning center completes a year promoting the evolution of cognitive skills through total immersion in the most spoken language in the world. With an emphasis on experimentation and in a practical format, the school offers open enrollment for kindergarten and primary education, with dual certification.

“We are looking for a totally innovative and modern model in our city, because we believe that our children need new teaching methods. We develop concrete learning models, convinced that teaching through immersion helps students to internalize knowledge more effectively”, points out Adriana Digiácomo, pedagogue with more than 20 years of experience and head of Maple Bear na Ilha, in Florianópolis .

Embedded in an exuberant nature and with an enduring cachet, the school has had some exceptional moments in its first year. Robotics, French and Mandarin classes, an art fair with the presence of Brazilian and foreign artists are some examples. With a project signed by the Marchetti Bonetti office, from Florianópolis, Maple Bear Floripa Ilha has thermal and acoustic comfort, air renewal with a hospital method and remote rooms.

Born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and with over 450 schools in 20 countries, serving more than 45,000 children and teens, Maple Bear Canadian School is one of the world’s leading providers of bilingual education, offering a high-quality education, based on best practices that place Canadian education among the best in the world.
