Nicki Minaj Releases Documentary Trailer, Says She’s ‘Never Afraid to Fail’

the rapper Nicki Minaj took to his social media this past Thursday evening (28) to announce the first trailer for his documentary. Still without a premiere date, the project, divided into six parts, bears the title of “NICKI” and will be broadcast exclusively by HBO. “Rappers weren’t really on the charts back then”Minaj says in the trailer, citing the start of her career. “I fight for the girls who never thought they could win”.

Produced by Canadian company Bron Studios, the “NICKI” trailer begins with a clip of young Minaj rapping and reflecting on her future career. “I never wanted to be mainstream. The mainstream came to me“, she says in the excerpt. “I have never been afraid to fail. When you’re only focused on the business, you can get lost.. It was time for me to grow up and start loving myself. The trailer also includes clips of Minaj with her husband. Kenneth Petty.

“It Happens Sooner Than You Think”Nicki wrote on social media revealing scenes from the trailer. “It took me time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying and inspiring work. When choosing a home for this project, I can’t help but think about what I’m including in this document. Some things are so personal, it’s scary. It’s like NOTHING you’ve ever seen before and I need it handled with care. I love you so much. Thank you for your continued support.”
