Unioeste: Canadian professors visit Cascavel and Foz do Iguaçu campuses

Another action resulting from the agreement between the Canadian state of Quebec and the Brazilian state of Paraná, professors Carey Nelson, Annie Desaulniers and Emily Rosales, representing the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM), visited the University of State of Western Paraná (Unioeste).

Canadian teachers maintain an intense didactic collaboration with the Paraná Speaks French program, which is part of the Paraná Speaks Languages ​​program and present in the seven higher education institutions (HEIs) of Paraná. This week they visited the Cascavel and Foz do Iguaçu campuses of Unioeste.

During the visit, in Cascavel, the professors were received at the Rector’s office by the Pro-Rector, Geysler Rogis Flor Bertolini, the Vice-Rector Gilmar de Mello, by the Director of the Office of International Relations, Rafael Mattiello and by Professors Déborah Caroline Cardoso Pereira, Institutional Coordinator of Paraná Speaks English at Unioeste, Larissa Giordani Schmidt, Coordinator of the English Domain of Idiomas Sem Fronteiras at Unioeste, and Antonio Marcio Ataide, Institutional Coordinator of Paraná Speaks French at Unioeste.

The professors were able to discover several campus facilities, such as the secretariat of Paraná Fala Idiomas and the language teaching laboratory, in addition to visiting the Unioeste stand at Technovação.

Foz do Iguacu

At the Foz do Iguaçu campus, the Canadians met Professor Eduardo César Dechechi, coordinator of the graduate program in technologies, management and sustainability at the Unioeste, and Professor Claudio Marquetto of the Center for Engineering and Exact Sciences of the institution, where they got to know the structure of the Center which is located inside the Itaipu Technological Park and also took the opportunity to visit the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Station and the Iguaçu National Park .
