Mossoró Oil & Gas strengthens its international character

The 2023 edition of Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo (Moge), the largest Brazilian onshore fair, is banking on attracting foreigners to strengthen the international character of the event, with greater participation of delegations from other countries . Initiative of Redepetro RN and Sebrae of Rio Grande do Norte, the event will take place from the 21st to the 23rd of this month, at the Expocenter, in Mossoró.

Through the participation of experts from other nationalities, the idea is to promote the exchange of successful experiences and new technologies, in order to optimize onshore oil and gas exploration and production in Brazil.

Exclusively from Canada, a country with extensive expertise in the exploration of mature wells, a delegation of 20 representatives will participate, including 12 businessmen.

According to the president of Redepetro RN, Gutemberg Dias, since 2019 the Mossoró Oil & Gas organization has been working to internationalize the fair. Since then, he has intensified his contacts with entities outside Brazil and invited foreign speakers.

“And this year, specifically, we have made a greater effort and will have a delegation from Canada. More than 20 people will be present at Mossoró Oil & Gas, in a very strong action, in relation to the internationalization of the event, which reinforces the representativeness of the show, not only on the national scene, but also on the international scene,” he emphasizes.



Synergy

In addition to Canadians, Mossoró Oil & Gas will bring together representatives of the oil and gas sector from Latin America, with the participation of businessmen from Argentina and Colombia.

“The central idea of ​​this file is to create synergy with other onshore oil and gas producing countries. Whether it’s creating joint ventures, that is, partnerships that can bring their own technologies from Canada or other countries to implement here, as well as bringing our technologies into these new oil production spaces,” explains Dias.

Successful international experiences will be presented by foreign businessmen in panels throughout the event program.

This is the case of Guillermo Izquierdo (Halliburton-Colombia), who will discuss the potential of interventions in wells; Leonardo Brkusic (GAPP-Argentina), who will discuss opportunities for MSEs at Vaca Muerta; and Mahmoud Khalifeh (University of Stavanger – Norway), who will give a lecture on best practices in well abandonment.




Moge will have 130 stands and three thousand people

Mossoró Oil & Gas Expo was born in 2016 under the name Forum Onshore Potiguar and reaffirms Mossoró as the capital of Brazilian onshore. For this year’s edition, the organization estimates that more than three thousand people will participate in the event, including exhibitors and visitors.

This year, the show introduces new features that demonstrate the growth of the event. There will be more than 130 stands, compared to 90 in 2022. The entire structure will be divided into two pavilions, while last year there was only one.

The space dedicated to discussions and holding the more than 10 panels throughout the program has also been expanded, with the integration of the ESG Arena (Environmental, Social and Governance), which corresponds to environmental, social and governance practices. governance of an organization. In previous editions, there were two areas: oil and gas and innovation.



Side events

Also on the show’s agenda are the PetroSupply Meetings, business meetings that bring together companies that provide goods and services in the oil and gas sector with the main players in the segment who will be present in Moge.
Mossoró Oil & Gas’s program of activities also includes an initiative focused on the academic field, with the holding of the Brazilian Onshore Oil and Gas Symposium, which this year is in its fourth edition. The event is organized by the Federal Rural University of Semi-Árido (Ufersa).
