UEL Public Notice Selects Undergraduate Students for Exchange in Canada

Londrina State University (UEL), through the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (PROGRAD) and the International Relations Office (ARI) launched the Notice Prograd/ARI 001/2022which provides for the selection of five undergraduate students to carry out an academic exchange with the universities of Montreal or Moncton, as part of the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP).

It is a Canadian government program aimed at supporting human capital development and the next generation of leaders in the Americas, while strengthening ties between higher education institutions in Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Fellowships also advance Canada’s goals for the Americas: democratic and accountable governance, human rights, environment, diversity, and Indigenous peoples.

Candidates must be at least in second year or have completed 20% of the course (whether credit or module), be regularly enrolled and have an average above 7.0, among other requirements . Fluency in the language of the institution (English or French) is also required.

Prograd and ARI will make the selection according to the terms of the public notice and the Pro-Rectorate will transmit the documentation of the candidates to the Canadian institutions, which will decide on the submission of the candidate.

REGISTRATIONS – Applications must be submitted by February 20, 11 p.m., by email to cooperacao@uel.br, with the title “ELAP2022”. A form must be completed, available in the mobility program or at ARI page, and sent along with the Academic Record, Letter of Intent to the College, Certificate of Proficiency, Lattes Curriculum, and Photocopy of Passport Identification Page valid until the end of the exchange, among other documents.

APPOINTMENT – The preliminary result will be broadcast on February 23, until 6 p.m., on the ARI and Prograd portals. The final result will be broadcast on March 2, until 6 p.m., on the same portals.

Selected individuals must confirm their interest by the 7th, via email, and send additional documents, such as proof of citizenship, proof of registration, letter of intent from candidate and letter of support from the ‘UEL (in English or French) and others .
